What is Earthrise One?

Earthrise One is an interactive immersive experience, or escape room. Your team of 2-6 adventurers will enter the world of Starlight Industries, a space research company. Your mission is to board their space station 'Earthrise One' and fix it – and potentially discover and solve a mystery while you're there. You and your team will need to harness your problem solving, communication, and teamwork to survive this space expedition.

How long is the experience?

You will have 1 hour on-board the space station before the shuttle returns to Earth, with or without you. Your total time on site may be up to 80 minutes including briefing and post experience chats.

What's the perfect group size?

Earthrise One has been thoughtfully designed to scale in difficulty with group sizes of 2 to 6. For maximum enjoyment however, our recommended group size is 5.

Can I add more people to my team?

Additional crew members can join for a flat fee of $60 per player, up to a maximum of 6 people per group. We can process payment on site.

Is there an age restriction?

Due to the complexity of the world and mature story elements, you must be 15 or over to experience Earthrise One without supervision. Players under 15 must have an adult with them to sign a waiver on their behalf.

What level of English proficiency is required?

The game involves reading text and listening to dialogue in English. You do not have to be fluent in English, but we recommend an IELTS band score of 6 or higher to fully enjoy the experience. (If you understand this website without assistance, you'll be fine.)

What are the physical requirements to play?

Earthrise One only requires that one member of your group is able to crawl through a short section. Other than that, the only physical barrier to play is the flight of stairs at our entrance. Sadly, the building does not accomodate wheelchair access to our floor.

Are there any content warnings?

Earthrise One is an immersive sci-fi thriller. There are mild horror elements, but it is not intended to be terrifying. During your experience you may be exposed to fog, bright flashing lights, darkness, loud noises and/or confined spaces. Please contact us if you have any queries about specific concerns.

Can I cancel or reschedule my session?

If you need to reschedule or cancel your session 48 hours or more prior to your booking time, please send us an email and we'll help arrange it for you. Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund or rescheduling less than 48 hours prior to your session time due to staffing limitations.

What if I'm running late?

Earthrise One is a live ticketed event, and as such your session will start at the time you've booked your ticket for – so please make sure you arrive on time to get the most out of your experience. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your session will be cancelled without a refund.

What should I bring and wear?

Please come wearing comfortable clothing. High heels are not permitted in space, as they may puncture the launch shuttle, causing you and your team mates to be exposed to the perils of space. You don't need to bring anything with you – just an adventurous spirit. Anything you do bring can be securely stored until you are ready to leave.

How do I get there? Is there parking?

We recommend taking public transport to the venue, as there is a huge array of options available. We are located at Level 1, 133 Church Street, Richmond. Earthrise One is right next to the 78 tram stop, or alternatively a 5 to 15 minute walk from the 75, 48, 109 and 12 tram stops, as well as West Richmond and North Richmond station. Free 2 hour street parking is available nearby for those arriving by car.

How many people can participate in the escape room birthday party?

Our sci-fi themed escape room accommodates a minimum of two and a maximum of six people per session.

How long does the escape room birthday party experience last?

The escape room experience runs for approximately 75 minutes, give or take, depending on how quickly your team solves each puzzle.

What theme is the escape room birthday party?

Our escape room features sci-fi thriller themes with mind-bending puzzles, immersive storytelling, and interactive challenges where you dive into a new world scavenging for clues and solving cryptic riddles.

Is the escape room suitable for beginners?

Yes, our escape room caters to both first-timers and seasoned escape room veterans. We have a range of puzzles that test logic, teamwork, and creativity, making sure that whatever your experience level, you're bound to have a whole lot of fun.

Yes, with every group that goes through, we run through a quick briefing before starting to explain the rules, set the scene, and answer any questions so everyone feels comfortable and ready to dive into the challenge.

Each of our two sci-fi, space-themed escape rooms, Earthrise One and Star Crew, accommodate between 2-6 people. Each involves a sequence of immersive puzzle experiences to challenge your problem-solving skills and teamwork while transporting you on an exciting sci-fi adventure.

Earthrise One and Star Crew run for 60 and 75 minutes, respectively. We request that you arrive 15 minutes before your booking time, so we can run through a quick briefing before your mission.
